It is inevitable that Smartphones will be tracked more and more as time goes on. These devices have so many wireless capabilities. Users can even track their own phones if they lose them. It should come as no surprise that other people can track smartphones.
Consumers still have a right to privacy, and every should know their rights. The laws are constantly being made for the different types of devices that have flooded the market. Congress is trying to protect the privacy of consumers, but consumers must take the steps to protect themselves.
A lot of what is done to protect yourself will be based on software and apps. There are already apps in development for the different types of phones that are on the market. All of the different devices that are out there work in different ways. Wireless connectivity is the way that most of the phones would be tracked. Consumers have the ability to turn off wireless options on certain networks. This is a big part of protecting yourself.
Consumers that use the phones in their homes may want to consider getting their own wireless network. People that use a neighbor’s wireless signal can be tracked easily.
