DoCoMo, the Japanese mobile phone operator, has just showcased at MWC 2010 a prototype of eye-contolled earphones that works as remote for your mp3 player. To play, pause, skip tracks or change the volume, you have to roll your eyes or shift them side to side or up and down. Previous systems worked detecting eye movement with a camera but since this one detect some electric signal in your brain,it even works with your eyes closed. No word as yet as to when the system will be commercially available
The earphones works by detecting electrooculograms your brain sends out when you move your eyes.
